Located in Carlisle, we offer more than just acupuncture treatments—we offer a reconnection to a profound and time-tested system of healing that has nurtured human health for centuries. Our practice is firmly rooted in the classical foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and we are proud to uphold the integrity and depth of this ancient lineage in every aspect of our work.
Central to our approach is the study and clinical application of the 17th-century medical classic, 《針灸大成》 (Zhēnjiǔ Dàchéng), also known in English as The Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. This monumental text, compiled by Yang Jizhou during the Ming Dynasty, is revered as one of the most comprehensive and authoritative works in the history of Chinese acupuncture. It preserves the accumulated wisdom of over a millennium of practice, distilling the essential knowledge of meridians, point theory, needling techniques, and moxibustion into a cohesive and elegant clinical system.
Dr. Yi-Chen, originally from Taiwan, has made Perth her home since 2015. With a profound dedication to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and a holistic approach to health, she has spent the past eight years working in both TCM and general practice (GP) clinics. This cross-disciplinary experience has deepened her understanding of patient care and enriched her clinical practice.
Dr. Yi-Chen holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) from Endeavour College of Natural Health. Her passion for healing has inspired her to pursue further studies in the classical foundations of TCM, a tradition rooted in over 1,800 years of history. She specializes in Classical Acupuncture, drawing wisdom from the revered Ming Dynasty texts that have shaped Chinese medicine for more than four centuries.
Her approach blends ancient diagnostic methods with modern therapeutic insight, offering treatments that are both precise and deeply personalized. Dr. Yi-Chen is a registered Acupuncturist with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and a member of AACMA (Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association), ensuring that her practice meets the highest professional standards.
